Sketches for Pages 38 and 39 and a CSP Custom Brush

Not a two-page spread. CSP groups facing pages with the “combine into two-page spreads” option.

Besides sketching pages 38 and 39 today, I created a custom brush. I was aiming for a brush that would go from very thin to very thick. I also wanted the brush to be fast. To make it fast I didn’t use a texture and I made the shape as a triangle. Using texture along with grayscale tip images can make a brush very slow. This brush would fall into a “thick to thin” category. I like this kind of brush for quick sketching. With light pressure I can do detailed work, and with pressure I can vary line width and I can quickly fill large areas with ink.

Here’s an example.
