Page 23, Four Characters Running Away from the Volcano Demon

Now that I’ve got my four featured characters finished, I’ll work on the volcano demon. Drawing these four characters has taken a long, long time. I used Clip Studio Paint’s 3D model tool to create running poses, then I drew my characters over them. The 3D tool is handy, but moving all of the limbs can be tiresome, especially moving small body parts like hands and fingers. The smaller the item, the more tedious it is to arrange it. So, I disregard the 3D model and just sketch in the hands.

Photoshop Brushes in Clip Studio Paint EX
I’ve imported some of the Photoshop brushes I use into Clip Studio Paint. It seemed like a great idea to be able to use the same brushes in both of my most important programs. The problem is, the brushes don’t achieve the same level of excellence in CSP. Some simple brushes, such as the Round Opacity Pressure brush, work the same, but complex brushes that have textures definitely don’t look right in CSP. My conclusion about importing Photoshop brushes into other programs is: there’s no point in importing Photoshop brushes into CSP if they don’t work the same.
