Book Images in InDesign

I spent the day importing my book’s artwork into InDesign. The process goes like this:

  1. Export the project files from Clip Studio Paint EX as Photoshop PSB files. Do not export as PSD files!

  2. Open each file in Photoshop and save the file as “Optimized”. The simple way to do this is to “Save As”, then overwrite and save as “optimized.”

  3. Drag the files one by one into InDesign.

The big time hog is reprocessing the files in Photoshop. It’s not hard; it just tedious. The upside of all the manual labor is that I can see which files need more work. Fortunately, there were only a few. The study and practice I’ve been doing for the past two years is starting to become apparent in the quality of my work.
